Sudan’s Independence Day is on the 1st of January and on the 7th of January, Coptic Christmas is celebrated by Orthodox Christians.
The Ethiopian Calendar is different from the Gregorian Calendar and the latter is what most of the world goes by. The Ethiopian Calendar has thirteen months in a year, while the Gregorian one has twelve months. Currently, the year in Ethiopia is 2012.
