Pick It Yourself

We should not wait until we are financially strapped before we decide to shop for food more economically. No, this should always be our aim. Therefore, if a farmer's market is within your reach, check it out first before heading elsewhere. Additionally, do not forget that some farmers sell their produce even more reasonably when you  pick the foods yourself. I am not talking about spending an entire day working on someone's farm. No, I am talking about spending about thirty minutes or less, depending on what is grown and how much you want. You will spend a bit less, and of course, get fresher fruits and vegetables. However, let me add that this may not be happening in every corner of the world, but it does happen in many corners. If you were not aware of this, now that you are, what are you going to do about it? PS Don't worry that you may be cutting someone out of a job because you will not be. There are various reasons as to why this opportunity is made poss

Recommendation: Family Time Food

For quite some time now, it has been suggested that family members are not spending time together at the dinner table. One of the reasons for this is the busy schedule of family members. Consequently, there is not enough time to prepare anything to eat. Therefore, instead of cooking meals at home, it is ordered from a restaurant. The following books contain quick and easy to prepare meals and desserts/snacks that the entire family will enjoy. After trying a recipe or two, let me know how it went.

A Review On: A Brief History of the Jewish Settlement in Barbados

This informative pamphlet/book has twelve pages, four of which are of black and white photos, and it was printed in 1986. It reveals a little about the Jewish settlers who fled to Barbados from Brazil, South America after Portugal reclaimed that colony. It tells of the ups and downs of the Jewish people who dwelled in Barbados in a simple and to-the-point manner. As for the photos, although it would have been pleasing to see much more of the Synagogue, the present ones are beneficial to the history that is covered here. Today, the Synagogue is a tourist attraction in Barbados and reading a bit about its history and especially when it was on the verge of repairs, is worthwhile.
