On the 12th of June 1898, the Philippines declared
independence from Spain. On the 4th of
July 1946, they declared independence from the United States of America.
The Ethiopian Calendar is different from the Gregorian Calendar and the latter is what most of the world goes by. The Ethiopian Calendar has thirteen months in a year, while the Gregorian one has twelve months. Currently, the year in Ethiopia is 2012.
