Monaco – No Airports

There are no airports in Monaco.  However, there is one heliport in the country.  This heliport was created, in 1976 with the approval of Prince Rainier III.  Visitors to the country can get there from Nice, in France.

The Guatemalan Quetzal is this country’s legal currency.   The word quetzal is from the country’s national bird, the Resplendent Quetzal.   Many years ago, the tail feathers of these beautiful birds were used as currency.
