The Guatemalan Quetzal is this country’s legal currency. The word quetzal is from the country’s national bird, the Resplendent Quetzal.
Many years ago, the tail feathers of these beautiful birds were used as
currency.
The Ethiopian Calendar is different from the Gregorian Calendar and the latter is what most of the world goes by. The Ethiopian Calendar has thirteen months in a year, while the Gregorian one has twelve months. Currently, the year in Ethiopia is 2012.
