I will confess that for many years, I thought that the name the United Kingdom (U.K) was another name for the country, England. I did not know that the U.K was the country and that it is made up of the countries England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Great Britain is England,
Scotland and Wales, whereas Britain is
England and Wales.
London is the capital of the United Kingdom and England.
