On the 3rd of December 1967, Christiaan Barnard and a vast medical team performed the first human to human heart transplant. The surgery occurred at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town, the legislative capital of South Africa.
The Ethiopian Calendar is different from the Gregorian Calendar and the latter is what most of the world goes by. The Ethiopian Calendar has thirteen months in a year, while the Gregorian one has twelve months. Currently, the year in Ethiopia is 2012.
