Nauru - No Military

Nauru does not have a military force. They are one of at least fifteen countries in the world that do not have one. However, they do have an informal agreement with Australia to protect them. They do have the police force.

Vanuatu – Location and Languages

The Republic of Vanuatu is made up of eighty-three islands in the South Pacific Ocean. Many of these islands are inhabited. The country has three official languages, and they are Bislama, English and French.

Maldives - Rejoins

In 1982, Maldives joined the Commonwealth. However, in 2016, the country left it, which was in response to the Commonwealth’s suspension warning. The Maldives’ government claimed that the Commonwealth “sought to become an active participant in the Maldives' domestic political discourse, which is contrary to the principles of the charters of the UN and the Commonwealth.” Then, on the 1st February 2020, under the Ibrahim Mohamed Solih government, the country rejoined the Commonwealth. Burkina Faso – In Need

Many countries around the world are advising their citizens not to visit Burkina Faso, at this time, unless it is an essential trip. It is mainly due to the unrest in the country. The is a country faced with many troubles. Citizens and visitors alike are being killed, yet travellers ignore these government-issued advisories and go headlong into the country. In December 2018, the government here declared a state of emergency for specific places in the country. And earlier this year, they extended this emergency by six months. In January 2019, the Prime Minister and his cabinet quit.
