Marshall Islands – Permanent Non Immigrants

About a third of the Marshallese have left their homes in the Marshall Islands.  Many of them have moved to various parts of the United States of America.  Here in America, they do not need a work visa to gain lawful employment.  They are legally allowed to live and work here without a visa or becoming a citizen.  Some people refer to the Marshallese living here as permanent Non Immigrants.
