Israel – Solar Water Heater

Today, about 90% of Israeli homes have a solar water heater on them.  This all started in the 1950s when the country was faced with a fuel shortage.  So, to deal with this, the government decided to restrict the time for residents to heat their water.
Then from 1980 to the early 1990s, Israel was the first country to pass the law that all new homes must be built with a solar water heater.
