Equatorial Guinea – The President

Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo has been the president of Equatorial Guinea since 3rd August 1979.  He is the second President of the country.  
The first president was overthrown and later executed.  
President Mbasogo is the second longest-serving national leader, who is not “royalty.”
