*  The name Anguilla probably came from the French word anguille, which means eel.  The island has the shape of an eel.

Bonair

*  Bonair's currency is the United States dollar as of the 1st January 2011.

* Its official language is Dutch.

Guatemala – Currency

The Guatemalan Quetzal is this country’s legal currency.   The word quetzal is from the country’s national bird, the Resplendent Quetzal.   Many years ago, the tail feathers of these beautiful birds were used as currency.
