Turkey – Location & Position

About three percent(3%) of Turkey is located in Europe, while the rest of the country is in Asia.  Presently, it is not a part of the European Union (EU).  However, they are working to change this.

Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey, but it is not the country’s capital.  Its capital is Ankara.

Guatemala – Currency

The Guatemalan Quetzal is this country’s legal currency.   The word quetzal is from the country’s national bird, the Resplendent Quetzal.   Many years ago, the tail feathers of these beautiful birds were used as currency.
